Hi - First, I am so glad you are here.

Like really, truly, I appreciate that you are here in my little rug universe.

You see, I have always been one to be greatly effected by my surroundings. Whether it is outside taking in all of mother natures glory, checking out a really cool new restaurant with an epic vibe or nestled at home with the people I love, how that space feels instantly changes my mood.

And that is why I have always had a love for design; to make a space feel like my own where I can snuggle up and rest easy and truly just be at peace (side note: sorry and thank you to my parents who let me express that need through terrible, I repeat, terrible paint choices growing up).

So to say I was thrilled when my husband and I bought our first home at the end of 2019 would be an understatement. It was finally a chance for me to create a dwelling that we could grow in and I knew that I wanted to fill it with curated items; items that weren't one-note, that were collected and meaningful in their purpose. Not like the trendy looks from big box stores.

I had owned a few vintage rugs before and always loved them and knew I wanted to incorporate more into my home. And just like that my desire to find the perfect rugs for my home turned into a full blow obsession.

And just like that Latham Vintage Rugs was born. I pitched the idea to my husband and basically said, "so I am going to do this, ok cool?" And I did. And here we are.

It has been a learning process; learning about rugs, learning how to run a business, to do social media, to meet customers needs, to do taxes (woof). But I am so thankful to be here. To be able to make the process of buying vintage more accessible, to support overseas merchants, to help rid the world of one less manufactured rug and to be helping you all find one-of-a-kind pieces that make your home so uniquely yours, just like I desired for my own home.

I know you have a lot of choices, so thank you for shopping small and supporting my dreams.

PS. Fun fact. I named my business after the street I live on and it holds so much meaning to me. Its where my husband and I picked as the foundation for our future, where my rug dream and business was born, where I brought both my babies home to and where I realized that the most important thing in this life is being true to yourself and that family and chasing your dreams is what matters most.
